Purpose and commitment
Cardology is committed to advancing women’s empowerment and providing equal opportunities in its workplace, business relationships and community.
We believe that women should have equal opportunities to own businesses, participate in decisions, develop their skills and progress into leadership. We recognise that fair treatment and the full participation of women strengthen our business and contribute to sustainable economic development.
This policy applies to our directors, management and employees. It also guides our dealings with customers, suppliers and business partners.
Ownership and representation
Cardology is 100% women-owned.
At the time of our October 2026 Women’s Empowerment Principles application, six of our nine employees were women, representing approximately 66.7% of our workforce. Two of our three directors were women, also representing approximately 66.7% of the board.
These figures demonstrate women’s participation in our ownership, workforce and governance. Our commitment extends to ensuring that women have meaningful opportunities to contribute, develop and influence the direction of the business.
Leadership and the Women’s Empowerment Principles
Cardology has submitted an application to become a signatory to the Women’s Empowerment Principles, supported by a signed CEO Statement of Support. Approval is pending.
We will use the Principles to guide practical improvements in our workplace, marketplace and community activities.
Our directors and management will oversee implementation of this policy, consider barriers to women’s participation and review progress. Leadership is responsible for setting an example of respectful conduct and ensuring that business decisions support fair opportunity.
Fair employment and remuneration
We are committed to fair recruitment, remuneration, training and promotion practices. Decisions will be based on relevant skills, experience, performance and the requirements of the role.
We support equal pay for work of equal value and will review remuneration and progression decisions for unjustified differences.
Gender, pregnancy, marital status and family responsibilities must not unfairly disadvantage an applicant or employee. We will apply this commitment consistently with applicable employment requirements.
Respectful and safe working environment
Cardology will not tolerate sexual harassment, bullying, intimidation or discrimination.
We will maintain a working environment that respects employees’ dignity, health, safety and wellbeing. Employees may raise concerns with the Managing Director or, where that person is involved, another director.
Concerns will be assessed promptly, fairly and discreetly. Information will be shared only where necessary to investigate and address the matter. Employees who raise concerns in good faith must not face retaliation.
Skills development and career progression
We will provide women with fair access to relevant training, mentoring and opportunities to take on greater responsibility.
This includes opportunities to build technical, commercial, operational and leadership skills within our card printer and related technology business.
We will encourage employees to identify their development needs and consider these when planning training and allocating responsibilities.
Parents and caregivers
We recognise that parenting and caregiving responsibilities can affect participation in the workplace.
We will consider reasonable flexibility and practical support where compatible with the role and operational requirements. Employees will be treated fairly when requesting applicable leave or discussing caregiving needs.
Suppliers and business relationships
We will consider opportunities to work with women-owned businesses and support women’s participation in our supply chain, while maintaining appropriate standards for quality, capability, service and value.
Our communications and marketing will represent women respectfully and avoid discriminatory stereotypes. We expect respectful conduct in our dealings with customers, suppliers and other business partners.
Community participation
Where resources and suitable opportunities allow, we will support activities that improve women’s access to skills, employment, enterprise and economic participation.
We will encourage practical contributions relevant to our expertise and avoid overstating activities or outcomes that have not been achieved.
This policy is available to employees, customers and other interested parties.
